For all of January, Living Contentment became The 2024 Contentment Challenge. The regular- something to: read | do | pray newsletters were replaced with shorter, more actionable Challenges.
The contentment challenges over this past month were intended to help give us some real, tangible, actionable ways to allow contentment into our lives.
I think deep, true contentment is much like so many of the other good things that God has for us. They are gifts, but we need to be ready to receive them. That can look different for different people at different times.
Maybe we need to just take stock of the good we have already been given.
Maybe we need to cut out so many of the negative thoughts about how we don’t have what we need.
Maybe we need to make room by stopping something else.
Maybe we need to be more intentional about truly beliving with our actions as well as our thoughts – that God is good.
No matter where you find yourself and if any of the above resonated with you – where you are right now – I pray that each of us will know the true peace of true contentment that is present in every situation.
